Introduction: The worship leader will have a love for God and a deep desire to lead others in worship of God through music, prayer, and reading of scripture. He/She would be primarily responsible for organizing and leading the music, with assistance from the Pastor and Worship Team, at Bethel Church’s worship services.

Job Description
• Prayerfully select songs that enrich the theme of the worship service
• Lead the rehearsals of the praise team
• Work with the pastor to plan the worship services
• Leading the music portion of worship on Sundays
• The worship leader does not have to be the primary leader on every song or even every week. They can and should empower others to step us as well.
• Encourage and Develop Gifts of Praise Team members
• Lead arrangement of music and appropriate use of instruments and vocals
• Work with the Worship Team
• Attend Worship Team Meetings
• Schedule Praise Team Members

Qualifications
• A love for the Lord
• Skilled in either piano or guitar
• Capable singer
• Comfortable speaking in front of people
• Familiar with computers (could learn planning center)
• Team Player
• Able to lead a team

Compensation
• $20 per hour – roughly 10 hours a week. Not to exceed $10,000 in the year.
• Vacation is flexible and negotiable

Optional
• If desired and if qualified there could be space to preach occasionally
