Job Description
Expectations
Our reason for the shared leadership transition period is to allow you time to get to know the church and the community. During this period, before stepping into the Lead Pastor role, you would serve in a partnership with our current Head Pastor. The length of this transition time will be determined in conversation between you, our leadership board, and our current Head Pastor (as he moves toward retirement in 2027). There will be a time when you would step into the lead role and our current Head Pastor would fill other roles until he retires and we hire an associate. Stepping into the role of Lead Pastor/Head of Staff will require the approval of the congregation
and ECO Presbytery.
We believe this shared leadership time will allow you and your family to fall in love with the staff, people, culture, weaknesses, strengths and needs of our church. The current Head Pastor agrees with this approach and is anxious to work with the you so that you can build relationships and understand the history and future possibilities of Grace of Christ. We believe this approach provides a unique opportunity for the right person.
