    Job Description

    Position Overview:

    This individual has a vital role in the organization, as they will manage and oversee the financials of the organization.

    Qualifications

    A sincere, mature walk with Jesus Christ, strong spiritual leader, models servant-leadership
    Must agree with Tanalian Bible Camp’s statement of faith
    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and at least 2 years of office and customer service related experience
    Know they are “called to serve” in ministry and have a teachable, servant’s heart
    A blend of marketplace business and ministry experiences desired
    A history of being proactive, goal oriented, organized and demonstrates a willingness to be flexible and learn new things under minimal supervision
    Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people ranging in age, gender and background
    Ability to fulfill a work schedule that includes weekends and a heavy workload from May-August
    Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications required, Quickbooks experience required, Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred
    Ability and willingness to learn camp management and donor software
    Ability to handle simultaneous deadlines, manage records and create reports during the busy, high energy time of summer camp (May-August)
    Experience in managing a team, specifically volunteer/seasonal staff in administrative duties
    Mature flexibility in daily work activities and with other staff
    Confident decision-maker and implementer, able to make suggestions and comments for improvement in a constructive manner
    Desire to collaborate and work as a team and pitch-in to complete any task necessary

    Areas of Responsibilities:
    Primary:

    Office Manager

    Handles incoming phone call inquiries in a professional manner
    Manages office communications
    Receive and process all mail
    Coordinates purchasing for office, craft, snack shop and summer camp supplies

    Registrar

    Manage all camper inquiries and registrations with the necessary forms, payments and follow-up using camp registration software
    Coordinate preparation for each week of camp’s check-in, check-out
    Work with Flight Coordinator to plan transportation for incoming staff and campers
    Train and oversee up to two office administrative assistants from May-August to assist with registration and summer administration duties

    Accounting

    Oversee all accounting procedures related to the organization; processing donations, invoicing customers, bills payable, payroll, preparing budgets, etc…
    Prepare financial analysis, donor reports, customer data, budget analysis and have a strong working knowledge of the company financials

    Business Administrator

    Working closely with the Executive Director and Development Director relating the following duties.

    Oversee all legal documentation required for the organization
    Assists Executive Director with human resources related duties
    Assists Development Director with newsletters, fundraising appeals, event coordination, website, social media and other development related duties

    Secondary:

    Designated Fundraiser
    Represent TBC by sharing the Vision and Mission with current and potential ministry partners.
    Develop a personal support base of ministry partners who support through prayer and giving
    Communicate regularly with personal ministry partners
    Conduct Special Assignment (SPA) trips to report back to the people and churches that have been supporting the ministry
    Other duties as assigned
    Note: The nature of living in rural Alaska and working in a small camp setting is demanding at times and requires all staff to be willing work outside of their normal duties at times. While this should not infringe on the employee’s normal job duties to a great extent, there may be times when this is necessary.

    Participating in local community events in furtherance of TBC’s mission

    Assist other staff as needed
