Children’s Ministry

• Promote exciting theme and program for the kid’s ministry.
• Organize and oversee high energy, quality ministry in Sunday morning Kid’s service with the regular use of illustrated messages, puppets, drama, video, special music and exciting games.
• Organize and oversee Sunday night and Wednesday night kid’s ministries.
• Recruit, screen, develop, and schedule workers for all children’s ministries.
• Provide special events for children at least once per month.
• Attend children’s camp with the children each summer.
• Develop relationships with children and their parents through frequent personal contacts and pursue parental involvement.
• Greet all visitors who have school age children and follow up later.
• Provide good communication of the children’s program to children and their parents through hand-outs, mail-outs, email and phone calls.
• Promote and enforce kid’s ministry policies and safety procedures.
• Maintain the database of kids, parents and workers information.
• Maintain weekly communication with the senior pastor regarding all aspects of the children’s ministry.

Office Responsibilities

• Maintain regular office hours as determined by the senior pastor. (normally 9 – 4 Tuesday through Friday) Assist with answering the phone as needed.
• Assist with clerical work as needed.
• As with all ministry, there are many needs and tasks that arise that must be attended to by available staff. This job description is intended as a minimum expectation and not an all inclusive description.

Requirements

• Must have a strong relationship with Jesus.
• Must agree with the core beliefs of Grace Church
• Must have experience (paid or volunteer) working in Children’s ministry.
