    Job Description

    As part of the Children’s Ministry Leadership Team, provide oversight, plan, develop, organize, administer and evaluate Children’s Ministries involving children birth through grade five at Centreville Presbyterian Church of Centreville, VA. The person in this position should view the role as part of the overall formation of the church family.

    Compensation: Full-time is preferred but willing to consider alternate 30 hours Director and adding a 10 hour assistant. $40K to $60K, commensurate with experience; benefits eligible at over 30 – 40 hours a week to include continuing education and health benefits.

    Reports to: Associate Pastor

    Develop a vision for CPCKids Ministry (CKCKids) with Centreville’s overall mission and vision.

    Oversee organization, administration, and supervision of all aspects of CPCKids (e.g. early childhood, children’s worship, Sunday school, Baptism and Communion classes, and kids to parent faith milestones).

    Lead in ongoing planning, development, and evaluation of CPCKids.

    Oversee all aspects of annual events on CPCKids calendar (e.g. participation in Sunday worship, Advent celebration, and summer event offerings and new initiatives).

    Oversee recruitment, training, and support of CPCKids volunteers.

    Maintain communication with congregation, other CPC ministries, and our communities.

    Monitor and Oversee the CPCKids budget.

    Have appropriate training/experience in Christian education, child development and Parental mentoring.

    Comfort with current technology and communication tools including social media.

    Be able to enthusiastically endorse the theological and biblical framework of the reformed theology and Presbyterian polity and be willing to pursue membership in Centreville
    Presbyterian Church unless waived by Session.

    Have appropriate prior training and/or experience in education, child development.

    Be a professing, growing, committed Christian of exemplary personal life with a passion and vision for spiritual outreach and nurture of children.

    Have the ability to relate well to adults and children.
