Summary: Excellent first pastoral appointment opportunity. This is a recent UM church that has affiliated with the Free Methodist Church U.S.A. The Lead Pastor provides oversight for the life of the church by shepherding and preparing God’s people to discern God’s mission, disciple deeply and deploy for action.

Shepherd and organize the laity to actively pursue God, meet needs of the community and share the good news of a life in Christ Jesus.
Model and encourage prayer within the church.
Preach and teach utilizing the guidance of the Free Methodist Way. Promote spiritual growth through personal application of biblical principles. Equip members to participate in teaching and preaching as their gifts to permit.
Develop and implement a theology of worship and regularly administer the sacraments.
Work with the Board of Administration and any ministry staff to provide a vision and mission for the church.
Provide personal and pre-marital counseling, the performance of weddings and the conducting of funerals.
Supervise the development and operation of the ministry and office staff for a positive culture within the church and the implementation of the church’s vision and mission.
Establish productive relations with the community.
The Lead Pastor is:
Accountable to the Regional Bishop, Regional Superintendent/MEGA and local church Board.
