    Job Description

    We hope our new Minister will:

    • Inspire us to grow through dynamic preaching and discussions of the Word of God
    • Assist us in creating vibrant education abnd fellowship programs that engage especiallyl the youth, young adults, young families and seniors
    • Serve as a model andmentor for other staff members and identify and encourage leaders who emerge from our congregation
    • Bring to these tasks imagination, spiritual maturity, commitment to growth and change, a vibrant and energetic personality, a sence of humor and a can do spirit and attitude that inspires and guides us to achieve our goals
    • Bring new ideas and thoughts that will open up different thoughts and ideas of how to accomplish new goals that will mesh with our current goals


    • Preaching and Worship leadership. Former pastors have set a high standard for our church. They have been bynamic speakers who although they dilevered God’s Word in different manners and styles continued to challenge our intellect and caused us to grow both spiritually and knowledgeably. We hope to have this same type of Pastor with our selection and that he or she will continue this tradition and help us along  with our spiritual growth.
    • Spiritual Maturity. We hope that our new Pastor’s theology will be clear and consistent in every aspect of their work and will inspire our trust and strengthen  our commitment.
    • Strategy and Vision. We hope our new Pastor will transfer his or her vision for  our congregation to the task of growth both spiritual and real and that they will be able to communicate their strategy clearly to inspire us to accomplish our goals both old and new
    • It is our hope that our new Pastor will communicate effectively in speech and writing to collaborate productively with staff memebers to create positive trusting relationships


    Pastoral: Serve the congregation by

    • Leading worship services each Sunday morning
    • Conducting weddings, funerals and sacraments as appropriate
    • Making home and hospital visits and serving communion to homebound members
    • Providing conunseling abnd pastoral care as needed
    • Personall contacting prospective members

    Administrative: Provide leadership by

    • Conducting weekly meetings with staff, wich currently includes Church Secretary/Music Director, Organist and Youth Director
    • Moderate Session Meetings and attend committe meetings as needed or required
    • Overseeing publication of church newsletter and website content
    • Be aware of church financial details in working with the Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer
