Position Description:
The Pastor of Worship & Creative Arts will serve as the “producer” of all worship and creative experiences at New Hope Church.

Worship:
Work together with the Lead Pastor to build the service including all thematic and creative elements.
Creatively lead and inspire people to worship and exalt God.

Creative Arts:
Responsible for all areas of creative arts including print media, web page, social media and newsletters.
Primary creator of and/or volunteer coordinator for each of these areas
Qualifications / Education:
A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital, personal love relationship with Him.
Agreement with the New Hope Church Statement of Faith.
Commitment to the mission, vision, and strategy of New Hope Church.
Commitment to personal, moral purity.
Experience creating, growing, and leading an exciting worship ministry.
Musical and theological education are preferred but not required.

Skills and Abilities:
The ability to create and execute an overall vision for the worship ministry.
Must be an accomplished musician with the ability to lead worship vocally.
The ability to recruit, motivate, encourage, lead, organize and disciple volunteers.
Experience in leading worship that transcends modern, contemporary and traditional genres.
Working knowledge or willingness to learn streaming platforms, Planning Center, Pro Presenter, OBS broadcast software, Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lighting.
Relational skills and an enthusiastic presence for leading a church in worship.
A self-starter – someone who can take initiative while maintaining active communication with the entire pastoral staff.

Responsibilities:
Build the necessary teams to execute powerful weekly worship gatherings.
Plan the corporate worship services in consultation with the Lead Pastor and do so with prayer, conceptual forethought, theological accuracy, and musical appropriateness. This includes song selection, media preparation, sound and lighting, etc.
Oversee scheduling of and communication to worship leaders, worship team members, and audio/visual technicians for weekend services.
Recruit new worship ministry volunteers.
Provide coaching and oversight of the training of volunteers (vocalists, instrumentalists, and audio/visual technicians, visual and graphic artists).
Direct all weekly activities and rehearsals necessary to facilitate worship in services.
Music/tech coordination for special services and events including night of worship, VBS, men’s and women’s events/retreats, weddings/funerals.
Maintain licensing for copyrighted worship elements (music, video, streaming, etc.).
Oversee the worship and creative arts budget, organization, and volunteers.
Oversee production equipment maintenance.
Create and maintain an effective Communication Strategy for the church.
Oversee the maintenance of the church’s web page and social media presence
Oversee the production of weekly newsletter and all print/web-based media
