    Job Description

    Launched in the Spring of 2007 with a mission to “Glorify God by making disciples of all nations”, Harvest has grown from its founding core group of 55 people to a congregation of over 1400 people each weekend.

    The church is committed to passionate and fervent worship of Jesus fueled by the proclamation, study and application of the Word of God.  It’s ministry of making disciples is anchored in a Discipleship Pathway that directs people to Follow Christ, Grow Together, Disciple Others and Reach the World.  Multiplication and commissioning disciples locally through church planting and globally through missions is an important part of kingdom work at Harvest.

    About the Role:

    The Pastor of Worship will provide visionary and pastoral leadership over all worship ministry at Harvest Church including music, production, and the recruitment, training and spiritual care of servants within the ministry.  The role includes participation on the campus leadership team which involves speaking into high-level topics regarding all ministries of the church.


    –        Prayerfully plan times of corporate worship with intentional focus on leading people to an authentic response of worship to God
    –        Proactively and effectively plan all musical, vocal and technical facets of the worship service
    –        Oversee staff and volunteers who implement facets of the worship service
    –        Develop and implement vision for a cohesive worship philosophy across life stage ministries in collaboration with ministry leads (Harvest Kids, Harvest Students, Adult Discipleship)
    –        Oversee recruitment and development of worship leaders and musicians for all areas of worship (Harvest Kids, Harvest Students, Adult Discipleship)
    –        Oversee creation and use of media elements in the worship services and use of media for streaming, web training and recruitment purposes
    –        Plan and manage annual budget for worship and production
    –        Support special events of other church ministries with worship and production support
    –        Pastor, shepherd and disciple the worship and production team members in the maturing of their faith and gifting

    Spiritual and Character Qualifications:

    –        Clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a passionate, growing personal relationship with Him
    –        High moral integrity consistent with the Biblical qualifications for church leaders as outlined in Scripture (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, 1   Peter 5:1-5)
    –        Commitment to the doctrine, vision and philosophy of Harvest Church
    –        Willingness to become a covenant member of Harvest church and work under the direction of the Elders and Senior Pastoral Leaders
    –        Self-starter with drive, passion and initiative
    –        Teachable spirit with a desire to be held accountable
    –        Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to work collaboratively
    –        Ministry partner willing to voice concern and disagreement in a respectable way while following accepted relationships of authority, responsibility and leadership

    Professional Qualifications:

    –        Required bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year school
    –        Preferred graduate degree from an accredited bible college or seminary
    –        Ability to articulate and integrate a biblical philosophy of worship into corporate worship services
    –        Possess a knowledge and agreement with Harvest Church worship philosophy and methodology
    –        Ability to accurately integrate the Gospel of Christ into the worship life of the church
    –        Exceptional vocal ability
    –        Competence and effectiveness in arranging songs for worship that illicit body participation and engagement
    –        Familiarity with current contemporary worship music styles
    –        Working knowledge of current sound, lighting and projection technology
    –        Ability to train and mentor other worship leaders, vocalists and musicians
    –        Pastoral presence on the platform with an ability to engage the heart of people through music, encouragement, prayer and the word of God
    –        Ministry builder and equipper with skill in recruiting, training, and encouraging volunteer leads toward a consistent, fruitful walk with Christ.
    –        Ability to use Ableton, Planning Center, and ProPresenter to effectively plan and execute weekly worship sets

    Work Experience Requirements:

    –        A minimum of 5 years’ experience leading a worship and production ministry at a church of 500+ preferred
