Pastor to Families(Youth and Children)

Qualifications

1. A personal and growing relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ

2. Called to minister to all generations.

3. A ministry degree from a Christian college/seminary, preferred.

4. Agreement with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000

5. Teachable, cooperative, self-starting

Responsibilities

Youth/Students

1. Manage all aspects of the ministry, including annual camps, retreats, mission trips, and regular events and outings.
2. Develop, promote and coordinate a balanced program of activities and discipleship ministry to students.
3. Be the primary youth teacher for weekly outreach service and Sunday School.
4. Recruit and train volunteers.
5. Communicate with parents regularly and timely.

Children

1. Work with our Volunteer Children’s Director to help manage all aspects of the ministry (Wednesday nights, Sunday School, etc.), including Vacation Bible School, Kids Camp (CentriKid), and seasonal events.
2. Not the primary teacher for any of these areas, but be present enough that you are able to form relationship with the leaders, children, and parents.
3. Recruit and train volunteers
4. Communicate with parents regularly and timely.

Pastoral Duties

1. Work closely with pastor and staff to assist with various pastoral tasks and pastoral care.

2. Participate in our worship service each Sunday.

3. Help manage Social Media and Website, as well as live stream on Sunday Mornings.

There’s no way to list every duty in a pastoral job description.  Must be willing to help and assist with various things that come up regularly in church life. Will also be assigned other responsibilities as needed by the Senior Pastor.
