Job Description

The Web Application Developer will be the primary support person for the development, maintenance and enhancement of our Church Management System (Rock RMS). This person will also spend a portion of their time assisting with the development of software solutions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the development, maintenance and enhancements of the Church Management System; Rock RMS
  • Provide ongoing support of the Church Management System
  • Perform data mining, analysis and reporting
  • Continually update skills and knowledge, including participating in technology professional development opportunities
  • Integrate open source solutions, custom modules, plugins and extensions with CRM or other technology platforms
  • Provide new and existing users with training and instruction

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years software development and support experience, including experience with the software development life cycle
  • Able to work professionally in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative team environment
  • Desire to improve and develop skills to keep pace with changing technology
  • Self-reliant and resourceful
  • Able work with volunteers/interns
  • Skilled in communication to help users solve problems over the phone, virtually and in person
  • Good interpersonal relations, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong emotional intelligence, the maturity to monitor emotions and handle interpersonal relationships well
  • Evidence of good judgment, trustworthiness, flexibility, and emotional maturity
  • Experience in C# web development
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience with JavaScript and HTML, Web Services, JQuery, JSON, XML and CSS
  • Experience with developing Microsoft CRM solutions
  • Experience with SQL server reporting services (SSRS)
  • Experience with the Rock RMS platform is a plus
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Spiritual gifts of administration, knowledge, shepherding and/or service
