    Job Description

    Position Description: Village Seven Presbyterian Church (www.v7pc.org) – in beautiful Colorado Springs, CO – is seeking a full-time women’s discipleship director. The vision of this position is to develop, implement, and refine a strategy for bringing the women of V7PC to maturity in Christ, in equipping them to be Christ’s disciples, and encouraging women throughout the church. Village Seven is an evangelical congregation that is a vibrant community of grace and a member of the Presbyterian Church of America (www.pcanet.org). V7PC is committed to gospel-centered preaching and teaching, community groups that make the large church small and has a wide range of women’s programs (V7pc.org).

    We are seeking an experienced leader with a vision and passion for women’s discipleship who can lead our women through recruitment, development, and encouragement of women leaders and volunteers. This person should be theologically sound; committed to Reformed faith; and have a demonstrated call from God to women, who will bring a heart for the role of women’s discipleship in evangelism as we seek to live out the Great Commission to Colorado Springs, the West, and the World.

    Reports to:  Pastor of Adult Discipleship

    Relates closely with: Leadership Team, Adult Discipleship Team, and the Pastor of Adult Discipleship

    Responsibilities

    • Recruiting and Training for women specific ministries, as well as for broader church ministries such as midsize communities and small groups
    • Ensure that the various women’s ministries align with the church’s values and philosophy of ministry
    • Develop grace-based equipped disciples
    • Superintend the planning and implementation of various women’s events
    • Participates in staff prayer, meetings, and planning retreats

    Qualifications:

    • Commitment to Reformed faith as summarized in the Westminster Confession of Faith
    • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree preferred) in a related field of study
    • Experience in leading, developing, and encouraging women in discipleship will be considered in lieu of education
    • Consistently displays a teachable spirit and is willing to submit to leadership
    • Demonstrated ability to recruit and provide training of women in various ministries
    • Proven ability to be transparent, vulnerable, and accountable in personal relationships
    • Reflects a servant’s heart
    • Evidence of visionary leadership skills
    • Known as a team player

     

    Time Required: 40+ Hours per week
