Roy Christian Church seeks a full-time pastor of youth/student ministries. This position would oversee all programs, events, and training for students in grades six through twelve, such as midweek worship and discipleship gatherings, special events, church camps, mission trips, and other ministry programs. While the primary focus of this position is student ministry, it would also afford opportunities in other areas like worship, technology, and/or social media.
Weekly gatherings and special events like monthly game nights and once-a-year lock-ins have been ongoing with volunteer support. Students meet on Wednesday nights in a large group for worship and teaching before dividing into smaller age-based groups for discussion and relationship-building.
Roy Christian Church is in Roy, Utah, thirty-five minutes’ drive north of Salt Lake City, along I-15. Roy City is made up of nearly 39,000 people in Weber County, which has more than 250,000 residents. Roy is one of the communities In Weber and Davis Counties that supports Hill Air Force Base.
Any candidates for ministry in Utah must have a missionary mindset, unwavering faith in God, and commitment to His word. Less than three percent of Utahns are evangelical Christians of any kind. That means that there are more than 3 million Utahns who don’t have any connection to or understanding of the authentic Jesus Christ of the Bible.
