    Job Description

    Position Summary
    The Youth Ministry Director will provide the chief visionary leadership and oversight to the Youth
    Ministry (4th-12th grade). This includes, but is not limited to, weekly programming, outreach events, camps/retreats/mission trips, and service projects. The primary emphasis of this position is to equip, connect with, and pour into the Leadership Team, while also building relationships with youth and their parents. Central Youth has grown to the point where the Leadership Team is the crux of the ministry as they are the ones who engage with youth at the Jungle, at church, and throughout the week. The person who fills this role must be extremely relational and must also be able to communicate well with volunteers, students, and parents on an interpersonal level.

    Responsibilities

    Create and execute strategy for discipleship, outreach, and service within the Youth Ministry that works in conjunction with the overall vision and ministry of Christ Central Church.

    Recruit and equip a team of youth volunteers to assist in discipleship, teaching, and fun.

    Provide oversight and planning for all aspects of Youth Ministry programming, including
    Wednesday evening youth group, outreach events, retreats, mission trips, camps, etc.

    Work alongside the Children’s Ministry Director to create a consistent plan for development and discipleship from birth to high school graduation.

    Hire and grow the Central Youth staff team (Associate Youth Ministry Director, college interns, etc.) as needs of the ministry diversify and grow.

    Provide oversight to the Youth Ministry budget and help develop the budgetary needs for
    upcoming years.

    Check and promptly respond to emails and texts.

    Work alongside the Communications Director to create strategies for engaging with volunteers, parents, and youth around weekly programming, events, and stories happening with Central Youth.

    Purchase, prepare and organize supplies for ministry events.

    Qualifications

    • A sinner saved by grace.
    • Exemplary character as exhibited in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
    • Passionate about the vision and mission of Christ Central Church.
    • Membership at Christ Central Church (a requirement, though not a prerequisite).
    • Accepting of and excited about our staff values – camaraderie, collaboration, and prayerfulness.
    • Passionate about youth ministry.
    • A heart for recruiting, leading, and equipping leaders.
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Experience working in ministry and/or with youth-aged students.
    • Strong planning and organizational skills.
    • A willingness to try new things and potentially fail.
      Position Details
    • Full time (40 hours per week).
    • Consistent in-office hours are required though some flexibility is available.
    • Pay and benefits commensurate with experience.
