    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Position:                                  Worship Pastor
    Classification:                         Full-Time Salaried Position
    Reports to:                              Senior Pastor
    Direct Supervision of:          All Music Ministries

    Position Summary
    The worship pastor is a spiritually mature, biblically grounded Christian who leads all worship ministries at FB Sebring under the direction of the Senior Pastor. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and promoting the church through worship ministries that lead others to salvation, communion with God, spiritual growth & family enrichment.

    As a Staff Member 
    • Support the vision and mission of FB Sebring and become ordained into the ministry if not already ordained.

    • Implement and ensure ministry programming alignment to FB Sebring’s mission and vision
    • Participate in staff meetings as well as personal and job skill development opportunities
    • Integrate personally and as a family into the life of FB Sebring


    As an Under-shepherd for Members and Their Families 

    • Commit to making Christ-centered worship a priority in every environment and event
    • Develop intentional and healthy relationships with FB Sebring families and the community
    • Provide care for members and families within the church including helping with relevant hospital visits, guest relations, and follow-up
    • Communicate regularly with worship ministry teams                                                                                                                                                                  • Ensure the complete preparation for ministry programs, such as materials, volunteers, and any necessary setup
    • Plan and oversee special events such as Easter and Christmas events                                                                                                                                    • Develop and manage a budget for each ministry under the leadership of the Pastor
    • Equip disciples, reach the lost

    General Description 
    As the leader of the FB Sebring Worship Ministries:
    • Recruit, coach, train, and motivate music ministry team leaders to build effective ministry teams and develop a process to regularly identify new volunteers in the worship ministry
    • Invest in intentional and healthy relationships with team members as an encourager and disciple-maker
    • Maintain healthy and clear communication with ministry leaders and volunteers.                                                                                                                      • Oversee the maintenance of all musical instruments owned by the church.


    Requirements

    • Model the standards and expectations of a covenant member at FB Sebring, including:
    A profession of faith in Jesus Christ, baptism by immersion, commitment to personal spiritual growth, membership, and worship at FB Sebring, a lifestyle of generosity, and serving out of a call and giftedness
    • Doctrinally sound student of the Word of God in agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
    • Prioritizes the health (physical, emotional, and spiritual) of his/her family
    • Functional knowledge and understanding of the rapidly changing culture and its implications on families and worship ministries
    • Comprehension and ability to implement a broad variety of musical genres
    • A good communicator that can engage with all ages in one-on-one, small-group, and large-group environments
    • Ability to build a dynamic program that is centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ
    • Creative, organized, and able to multi-task and thrive in a deadline-intensive and results-driven environment
    • Able to cast vision and implement a ministry plan and see it through to completion
    • Works well in a team and maintains high commitment to his team
    • Understands the impact of technology on the family and can minister through it
    • Desires to connect with people from various cultures, socioeconomic groups, generations, and ethnicities                                                                             • Proficient vocalist, instrumentalist, at reading music and operating relevant technology                                                                                                          • Bachelor’s degree and some formal training in music
