    Job Type: Part-time (20 hours/week)

    Job Description: The Children’s Discipleship Coordinator is to come alongside parents by overseeing the care of our children ages infant through eighth grade. This includes oversight of curriculum, building usage, teachers, and volunteers. This individual will be supervised by and
    accountable to the Lead Pastor. They will work alongside other staff and leaders to help implement City Church’s vision as well as actively participate in the life of City Church. If not a member of City Church currently, the candidate must become a member to fulfill the job.

    1. Weekly
    • Email reminders to volunteers – lesson plans/volunteer assignments
    • Prep lesson bags
    • Sunday morning setup – arrive by 9:15 AM to set up classrooms
    • Sunday morning teardown – stay after service to ensure classes are returned to working order for the teachers at Foster SDA Church
    • Communicate with Foster staff about classroom issues as needed.

    2. Monthly
    • Add new volunteers after new members join (from ministry interest surveys)
    • Introduce our programs to new volunteers
    • Coordinate monthly events for New City Catechism and Middle School classes

    3. Quarterly
    • Schedule curriculum packing night with volunteers
    • Create a volunteer schedule using Planning Center Services
    • Plan family events for elementary school children
    • Coordinate denominational ministry event participation (retreats & conferences––spring, summer, and fall.)
    • Coordinate communicants process with Session.
