LEVEL OF SERVICE:
Part or Full Time

RESPONSIBLE TO:
Direct supervision from the Senior Pastor with oversight from the Session

PRINCIPAL FUNCTION:
To assist the Senior Pastor in pastoral duties (shepherding, preaching/teaching, and leading and/or oversight of ministries). WPC is seeking a Christ-centered, grace-focused individual that is aligned with reformed theology, the PCA, missional-mindedness, and expository Christ centered preaching.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist in overall ministry support
2. Oversee the Director of Youth/College
3. Preach once a month
4. Along with the Senior Pastor, develop and execute the overall discipleship ministry
5. Help oversee and grow Community Groups
6. Main liturgy leader
7. Serve both the morning and afternoon congregations and locations (Elgin and Roselle)
8. Involved with outreach and community/city relations
9. Assist the Senior Pastor with a) officer training b) baptism classes c) Sunday School teaching

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Strong profession of Christin faith with a desire to serve the Lord in ministry for His glory
2. M.Div at an evangelical (preferably reformed) school
3. Relational, approachable, has a shepherd’s heart
4. Good listener, self-motivated, strong relational skills, humble but passionate.
5. Can start and execute a new ministry initiative (“self-starter”)

COMPENSATION:
TBD – Salary and other benefits will be determined by the Session based on the candidates experience
