    Job Description

    Position Summary
    Provides leadership and vision for program development, implementation, and direction of ministries with children and families and social media outreach for the congregation. Part time, 18 hours/week including Sundays.

    Qualifications
    We seek a person who has a strong faith in Jesus, a love for all God’s children, and an understanding of Reformed theology. We are seeking candidates who understand child development, the diversity of ways that children learn and grow in faith, learning disabilities, and current trends in Christian education. The successful candidate will be equipped for ministry with children and their families, engagement in outreach to member and community families, and working to grow the congregation’s ministry with children and families. Knowledge of current platforms and ability to grow the congregation’s online profile is required.

    Skills and Abilities
    Spiritual maturity and commitment to practicing tangible and visible faith in Jesus

    Experience in teaching and modeling Christian faith with children, families, and ministry volunteers

    Understanding of different ways that children develop and grow, and ability to work with children’s diverse ways of learning

    Demonstrated ministry leadership abilities

    Ability to work with and lead ministry volunteers and congregation staff members, both in planning for and implementing current ministry programs (Sunday morning Children’s Ministry and Family Days) in regular meetings and more informally as needed, and in working with congregation leaders and staff toward imagining the faithful future into which God is calling us, which will include growing these ministries in new ways

    Ability to develop online Christian educational content for children, families, and intergenerational groups

    Ability to lead social media outreach and communications, including the congregation website and relevant platforms, toward the goal of growing the congregation’s online profile and community in healthy ways. This will include working with congregation members engaged in these ministries, training and growing this group.
