The worship leader at Connell Baptist Church will have an immediate opportunity to make a kingdom impact. Our worship leader will be able to have an impact upon those whom they are entrusted with training and discipling. The worship leader will have the opportunity to work with a team and will be supported in the leading of that team. We fully hope, and expect, that the worship leader would use their creative gifting to help lead the church in worship.

The right fit:

In the simplest of ways, the worship leader will have to have a calling and passion to generally lead in worship, and, feel specifically led to worship at Connell Baptist Church. The right fit must be committed to building up a multi-ethnic church. This does not mean the worship leader has to be bi-lingual.

Connell is currently walking through an intentional path of replanting. Practically, what this means is, the way we practiced worship yesterday, might be practiced differently tomorrow. This means, the right fit will have to be willing to adapt to better contextualize the Gospel today while having an eye and ear towards tomorrow. The right fit will have to be willing to learn, to be flexible and to adapt to better lead. The right fit will have to be a risk taker as we will try “new” things. The right fit will have to have some entrepreneurial capabilities, as they will be asked to dream, plan, cast vision, and lead in ways that Connell has yet to have built out. For the right candidate, this is one of the most exciting reasons to say yes! The right candidate will have the opportunity to put their fingerprint upon the way a church worships for the foreseeable future!

Most importantly and above all gifting and qualifications, the right fit must be a baptized professing follower of Jesus Christ.

WORK SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION: Part Time / Starting at $18,000 annually
