Job Description
Part time, 20 hours per week, paid salary.
Goal: To provide oversight for all dimensions of Children’s and Teens Ministries. Incudes infants through age 17 years, encompasses weekend services and working with volunteers, parents, and youth. Candidate should be able to implement programming and curriculum currently in place while developing and growing as needs arise. This position requires good communication skills, expressing goals and equipping others while acknowledging the unique individuals God created and the wonderful contributions they bring to the body of believers.
Looking for a candidate who:
- Has 2+ years of experience and Bachelor’s degree preferred but negotiable.
- Has a strong administrative gifting and is self-motivated.
- Is able to work respectfully and in harmony with others and maintain a positive attitude inside and outside of a church setting.
- Genuinely enjoys seeing others grow in their faith and discover and use their Spiritual gifts from God, including using and growing in your own gifts and strengths.
- Demonstrates a good Christian witness, a strong prayer life, a healthy family, and a commitment to the priorities of 1. God, 2. Family, 3. Church.
- Is open to further education for the betterment of the position or ministry, church compensation is available.
- Is able to responsibly plan for and work within budget guidelines.
- Must be physically present at MCV a minimum of 46 Sunday services per calendar year (included as part of weekly hours worked) and attend some church events/outreaches and/or small group to stay connected to and be accountable with the body at large.
As Director of Student Ministries, candidate must be a Christian, believe and abide by the Statement of Faith of Vineyard USA, and be a member in good standing at the Madison County Vineyard. Director will meet with Lead Pastor at regularly schedules times to discuss ministry needs and navigate the fluidity of ministry requirements.
The Madison County Vineyard exists to see people restored to their right place in Christ. The Director of Student Ministries, as a paid member of the MCV Staff, will play a critical role in helping us achieve that mission by being present and active in the lives of volunteers and equipping youth with Kingdom realities and Biblical truths.
