Principle Function: Work with the Next Generation Pastor to maintain, evaluate, and improve the total ministry to children grades 1-5 and their families at HSBC.

General Christian Responsibilities:

• Be Christ honoring in all conversation, dress, and behavior.
• Be sensitive to all confidential materials and conversations.
• To serve with the NextGen team to equip and reach out to the next generation of HSBC members.

Responsibilities:

• To assist in the development and implementation of the NextGen plan of Ministry.
• To plan and prepare curriculum for the children’s ministry and to actively in discipleship planning with the rest of the NextGen team.
• To oversee the plan and oversee events and opportunities which aim to spiritually grow our church families as well as reach out to unreached families.
• To grow in knowledge and understanding of current needs and trends in regards to children’s ministry
• To equip and develop leaders (paid/volunteer) within the children’s ministry while serving as a member of the NextGen team and staff as a whole.
• To work in recruiting volunteers and oversee any training needed to accomplish their ministry.
• To maintain and coordinate equipment and supplies
• Is responsible to properly train all employees and volunteers in our church’s safety protocol.
• To prepare and provide leadership in the development of a yearly children’s ministry budget.
• All other duties as assigned by the Pastor.

Relationship: The Children’s Minister works under the supervision and direction of the Next Generation Pastor.
