Hope Chapel is searching for a full-time and experienced pastor to serve as Pastor of Community and Mission. This is a new position that has been developed as part of a three-member Leadership Team that will share authority equally. Our church believes at this point in our story a shared leadership model will serve us best rather than the traditional senior pastor model. As our church already has a strong emphasis on collaboration, we are
excited to implement this value during our season of transition. These leaders will serve in submission to the Leadership Team and the Session.

Joining our existing Pastor of Assimilation & Discipleship and our Director of Worship, our new pastor will primarily focus on preaching, shepherding, and equipping our community as well as bringing fresh vision to our local outreach and global missions.

REQUIREMENTS
• Master of Divinity or equivalent and ordained (or able to be) in the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church
• Good faith and robust subscription to The Westminster Confession of Faith
• Experience in the pastorate of 5+ years
• Qualifications of elder as stated in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9
• Active commitment to a rich, intimate devotional life with Christ

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SHARED RESPONSIBILITIES
• Preach approximately 20 Sunday mornings per year
• Minister to the needs of our congregation and surrounding community
• Cast vision and plan for the church’s future
• Lead staff meetings
• Assist with Sunday morning

COMMUNITY
• Identify and train new community group leaders
• Assimilate new members and regular attenders into community groups
• Oversee community group coordinators
• Oversee community group multiplication
• Oversee men’s and women’s ministry teams

MISSION
• Develop and oversee mission team
• Cultivate our ministries of outreach, service, and evangelism
• Lead and further develop Serving Greensboro (our outreach ministry to the city)
• Oversee Deacons

ADMINISTRATION
• Coordinate and serve with finance team
• Oversee office manager
