    Job Description

    We are looking for an individual who will direct, plan, and promote worship for FPC. This position will be responsible for blending music, liturgy, visual arts and multimedia tools to enhance worship and create an engaging worship environment for all who attend. Most of all, it will deliver a service that enables our congregation and visitors to Experience the Father’s heart.

    Our congregation has an adult choir, a handbell ensemble, a 19-rank Schantz pipe organ, a piano, and talented instrumentalists. This full-time position would report to the Head of Staff, currently the church’s Senior Pastor.

    Job Profile:
    Pastoral Collaboration: Work closely with the pastor to integrate worship elements that support the sermon and overall theme of the service; Provide input on liturgical and creative aspects of worship planning. Worship

    Planning: Collaborate with musicians and lay leadership in planning and coordinating worship services; Select appropriate hymns, songs, and other musical elements that align with the church’s theological and liturgical traditions; Incorporate creative elements, such as visual arts, drama, or multimedia, into the worship experience as relevant.

    Musical Direction: Lead and direct the church’s music ministry, which may include chancel and handbell choirs, instrumentalists, and vocalists; Arrange and conduct rehearsals to ensure musical excellence and develop a unified worship team; Source and introduce new music while respecting the church’s tradition.

    Technical and Audio-Visual Support: Oversee sound, lighting, and multimedia equipment during worship services; Train and support technical volunteers to ensure a smooth worship experience.

    Qualifications & Requirements:
    A music degree is preferred but not required. The salary will be based on experience with planning and overseeing worship services, including liturgical celebrations.

    Compensation:
    Salary range $32,500 – $47,500, includes a benefit package.
