    Job Description

    Christ Fellowship is a congregation that seeks to be a gospel centered, outward facing church with a passion to see Christ’s kingdom flourish in our families and our community. We are a people dedicated to the preaching and teaching of scripture, community and hospitality, and the building up of individuals and families in knowledge and love of the grace of Christ. We are seeking a Pastor to lead our church. This profile will give you an understanding of the gifts, talents, skills, and experience we seek in our next Pastor.

    Preaching and Worship
    • Gifted expository and exegetical preacher committed to integrating biblical knowledge and wisdom into everyday life.
    • Desires to work sequentially through books of the Bible teaching the whole of scripture
    • Understands the value and importance of a worship service that follows a reverent liturgy delivered in a contemporary style.

    Shepherding and Pastoral Care
    • Humble, hungry, smart, and compassionate shepherd who knows his sheep.
    • Approachable by all, regardless of age or gender, and able to walk with people through all seasons of life.

    Kingdom Building
    • Has a vision for the church as a transformative and spiritually vibrant presence in the community.
    • Challenges the congregation to grow in holiness through repentance, faith, mercy, and grace.
    • Embraces a holistic approach to discipleship to develop biblically and theologically literate, mature believers, of all ages, through instruction, example, and exhortation.

    Management and Leadership
    • Encourages collaborative decision-making with the Session, staff and congregation.
    • Understands how to plan, organize, and lead a ministry team and ministry calendar.
    • Can communicate expectations and desires clearly, can lead through change and can delegate and empower others where required.
    • Strives to create an environment of openness, trust, respect, and unity.

    Personal Qualifications
    • Prioritizes personal devotional time in the scriptures, personal learning, and prayer.
    • Ordained or ordainable TE in the Presbyterian Church in America
    • Master of Divinity from an accredited seminary
    • 1-3 years’ of pastoral experience preferred.
    • Holds to a covenantal, reformed, biblical worldview.
    • Experience in church planting preferred.
