    Job Description

    Foster worship environments that allow for the adoration of Christ and engagement with the Holy Spirit
    Oversight, leadership, care, and development of Worship Team
    Oversight, development, and recruitment of Production Team
    Function as a key member of the Pastoral and preaching team

    Profess Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
    Be open to the power and presence of the Holy Spirit
    Demonstrate a servant attitude and heart
    Consistent, long-term track record of Christ-like behavior and a God honoring reputation
    Must be committed and in unity with the mission, vision, and values of LAVC

    Oversee and administrate all Worship Teams (Sunday services, Overflow, and other special events)
    Recruit and train Worship Leaders and team members
    Schedule team members and song sets weekly via Planning Center
    Oversee Worship Leaders as they plan sets
    Plan and organize Worship Team appreciation events and trainings
    Oversee and utilize worship and production budget

    Provide oversight for Production Manager

    Assist with pastoral care
    Officiate weddings and funerals on occasion
    Participate in pastoral team meetings
    Invest in Worship Team and Leaders through prayer and regular communication

    Assist with leading, planning and implementing events, retreats and conferences
    Oversee Overflow (bimonthly event)
    Recruit quality worship teams for special events

    Plan to preach a minimum of 4 to 8 times per year
    Occasionally teach and/or train classes outside of the Sunday morning services

    Ability to work effectively in a deadline driven and multi-priority environment
    Maintain confidentiality
    Dependable, detailed, organized, and a good time-manager
    Strong interpersonal, relational, verbal and written communication skills
    Coordinate a staff of people (encourage, oversee, guide and assist)
    Must be willing to continue to grow and learn skills that will lend itself well to this role
    Friendly and sensitive to a wide range of people from all different age, racial, gender and socio-economic backgrounds
    Excellent administrative, communication & computer skills
    Must have the ability to work well in a team environment and take direction from others
    Must be faithful and have a “whatever it takes” attitude
    Must be highly professional
    Must have experience in public communications, team building, training and management
    Must be able to preach and/or teach
    Natural passion and giftedness for worship
    Ability to lead others and create/sustain organizational structures
    Familiar with church growth and health
    Loyalty and dedication to LAVC, mission, values & leadership


    Two+ years experience leading worship
    Experience mixing sound for house of worship
    Working knowledge on Pro-Presenter, DMX lighting (Jands Vista Preferred), Planning Center, DAW recording and mixing software.
