Maple Valley Church in Maple Valley, Washington, is looking for a Director of Children’s Ministries
to join our team. This person will be responsible for outreach to and discipleship of children in
Kidventure Children’s Ministry. The Director of Children’s Ministries will partner with families to
lay a spiritual foundation, that in God’s timing, will lead to a personal relationship with Jesus
Christ. This will take place with the support of volunteer children’s ministry leaders.

What you’ll be doing:
• Building relationships with children, parents, community leaders, volunteers, and colleagues.
• Teaching the Bible and sharing the love of Jesus.
• Overseeing Sunday morning Kidventure programming.
• Developing a team of leaders to plant seeds of faith and disciple children.
• Strategically planning and leading, retreats, classes, camps, and events.
• Equipping parents to be able to spiritually invest in the lives of their children.
• Investing the overall ministry of Maple Valley Church to reach the community for Christ.

What you need to have:
• Clear commitment to Christ and the church, evidenced by a mature and growing personal relationship with Jesus.
• The ability to effectively teach children about the Bible and who Jesus is.
• A passion for discipling children and partnering with families.
• Experience recruiting and training leaders.
• Strong organizational skills for planning ministry events.
• Effective communication skills.
• The ability to be a peacemaker within the church.
• A teachable attitude and the desire to learn and grow.
• The desire to work within the context of a team and support the overall church mission.
