About the role:
We are looking for a Sole Pastor who is not only a skilled preacher, but also a dedicated individual
who loves to engage with members and attendees on a personal level. The ideal candidate will strive to engage the community, both locally and abroad, with a missional focus.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Preaching
• Deliver a message based on Biblical truths and confessional interpretation that is applicable to everyday life.

Service Participation
• Support a liturgical service that prepares the congregation for communion with God.

Pastoral Care
• Mentor and develop leaders within the church, drawing out God’s gifts in them as they apply to their roles.
• Visit and connect with church members and attendees to facilitate and encourage connection with the church.
• Participate in church fellowship to develop relationships with church members and attendees.

Community Engagement
• Facilitate connection with other local churches and denominational classis.
• Facilitate and support church members in engaging with the community to foster healthy relationships with the church.
• Maintain awareness of and promote current events and lived experiences of others in the world to facilitate an evangelical hunger among church members and attendees.

Qualifications and Skills:
• A Master of Divinity degree from an accredited seminary.
• Ordination in the Christian Reformed Church.
• Preaching: capable of inspiring and challenging preaching, providing spiritual nourishment that is applicable to everyday life.
• Pastoral care: social and people-oriented. Capable of developing personal relationships with church families, and prospective members, forming discipleship relationships within the church.
• Leadership/vision: capable of discipling church members and attendees and dedicated to developing working relationships with ministry leaders.
• Outreach and evangelism: willing to develop a clear understanding of the local community and approach it with a ministry mentality.
