    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    Are you a gifted musician able to connect people to Jesus through worship?
    Jessamine Christian Church is looking for you! We are seeking a full-time worship pastor that is passionate about worship and being part of a growing family.

    Job description:

    Purpose:  The worship pastor will have oversight for the execution of all elements of our worship services. This person is to uphold himself to a high standard of excellence. The worship pastor is to encourage, equip, and help others grow spiritually.

    Job Classification: Full Time

    Day to day reporting to the executive pastor

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Recruit, disciple, train, and grow the worship team and tech team.
    • Meet weekly with Lead Pastor and worship team to coordinate worship services.
    • Instill a standard of excellence in all aspects of the worship ministry.
    • Plan and implementation of all elements for worship ministry.
    • Oversee the operation of all worship ministry equipment.
    • Schedule worship team.
    • Pastoral ministry to the worship team and the church family.
    • Evaluate and recommend equipment needs for worship center.
    • Maintain the appearance of worship center.
    • Oversee the graphic arts, design team and social media.
    • Prepare and work within the annual worship ministry budget.

    Spiritual Criteria:

    • Professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
    • Commitment to personal spiritual growth and model a Disciple Maker lifestyle.
    • Models the standards and expectations of leaders within Jessamine Christian Church.

    Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Highly called and passionate about leading worship.
    • Initiative-taker, good at multi-tasking, prioritizing projects, flexible, and teachable.
    • Administrative skills and the ability to work independently without supervision.
    • Exemplary presentation and musical skills.
    • Strong creative ideation and leadership development.
    • Proficient in software pertinent to design and worship such as ProPresenter and Planning Center.
