Job Description

Saint David’s Episcopal Church, is seeking a part-time youth director to work with our team of staff and volunteers in delivering quality youth ministry in a large parish setting.

Essential Functions

The tasks, duties, and responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to:

• Evaluate, develop, implement, and coordinate youth programs, including Christian education, youth activities, retreats, and special events.
• Partner with the outreach ministries of the parish to develop opportunities for youth outreach.
• Encourage and enable youth participation in parish and diocesan youth events.
• Recruit, train, evaluate, and support adult youth leaders from among St. David’s parishioners.
• Establish and regularly work with a Youth Ministries Steering Committee, to create special events and act as go-to leaders for Youth Sunday
• Prepare timely notification of youth programs for parish with regular communications cycles.
• Prepare and adhere to an annual youth program budget (subject to approval) and reporting structures.
• Attend weekly staff meetings.
