    Job Description

    Status: Fulltime (40+ hours), Salary

    Job Summary: The primary focus of this ministry will be to lead a team of volunteers and create spaces and opportuni4es to partner with families to proclaim the gospel and make disciples of students grades 6-12th.

    Qualifications:

    Joined Jesus in baptism by immersion.

    Subscribes to the principles of the Restoration Movement/ Church of Christ.

    Prefer a candidate with a ministry degree or equivalent ministry experience.

    Ordained by a Church of Christ/Christian Church.

    Experienced with computers and technology that assist the ministry.

    Team player.

    Accountability:

    Models daily devotion to God in study of God’s Word and prayer.

    Present for all regular programing you are directly involved in.

    Attends worship service at Maple View unless on vacation or ministry trip.

    Directly reports to the lead minister.

    Ministry hours in and outside the office, personal days, and vacation to be communicated and put on staff calendar at earliest convenience.

    Agrees to Staff Work Policies.

    Ensures physical and spiritual protection for self, staff, students, and volunteers at all times.

    Responsibilities:

    Lead a team of volunteers:
    1. Recruit, interview, screen, and enlist quality volunteers to assist in the carryout of the ministry.
    2. Work with lead minister and staff to maintain aligned vision for the Youth Ministry.
    3. Be above reproach within the ministry team.
    4. Train volunteers for continued improvement in the Youth ministry.

    Create Spaces and opportunities:
    1. Evaluate and execute weekly ministry Sunday mornings, Wednesday Evenings, and Sunday Evenings.
    2. Plan and implement events, trips, conferences that grow the students in service, study, and fellowship.

    Partner with families to Proclaim the gospel and make disciples:

    1. Choose a gospel (Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John) to have the lead minister disciple you in your first year on the team.                                                                                                                                     2. Teach the Bible, our final authority.
    3. Commission other volunteers and students to supplement teaching and facilitate study of God’s Word in various ministry capacities.
    4. Have an expectation that any student who has been in your programming for seven years will themselves have the ability to proclaim the gospel and make disciples.

    Use personal gifts interests to help the church:

    1. Use your gifts to help in other church-wide events/experiences (i.e. VBS)                                            2. If able to preach, fill pulpit 2+ times/year
    3. Other areas of giftedness used to fill your bucket and bless the church

    Maintain Career Action Plan:

    1. Play the lead role in setting goals for long-term and short-term career goals for your life of ministry to Christ.
    2. Develop and practice an action plan that includes areas of continued study, growth, and practice to help accomplish your goals. (When you win, Jesus wins!)
