Valley Church is seeking a passionate and talented part-time worship leader to join our team. As a worship leader, you will have the opportunity to lead our growing congregation under the leadership of our worship pastor in heartfelt worship and create an atmosphere where people can encounter God.

We are specifically searching for a worship leader who is familiar with traditional worship songs that includes hymns and older choruses, as we have introduced a more classic service to our Sunday morning worship experiences. This individual or couple must be capable of leading these songs, able to play the piano/keyboard, and lead a band.

Responsibilities:
– Lead worship during Sunday services and other special events
– Select and arrange songs that align with the theme and message of each service
– Rehearse and lead a band or choir, ensuring a cohesive and impactful musical experience
– Engage and connect with the congregation, leading them in worship through prayer and exhortation
– Collaborate with other church leaders to plan and execute worship services
– Continuously develop your musical and spiritual skills through workshops, conferences, and personal growth opportunities

Requirements:
– Proficient in playing an instrument, preferably the piano/keyboard
– Strong vocal ability and the ability to lead others in singing
– Deep personal relationship with God and a heart for worship
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other musicians and church leaders
– Flexibility and adaptability to work within a part-time schedule
– Prior experience in leading worship
– Familiarity with, or willingness to learn Planning Center
