Qualifications:  The ideal candidate will…

• Meet the qualifications set forth in 1 Timothy 3:1-16, with particular emphasis to be given to the manner in which he demonstrates spiritual leadership and companionship in his own home
• Be ordained and of sound Bible doctrine, He will also subscribe to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 statement.
• Satisfactorily demonstrate that he is a Spirit-led, Bible believing man of God.
• Be willing to relocate to the Pleasant Hill community.
• Have a 4 year degree in something appropriate to a pastoral position

Duties

• The Pastor is responsible for leading the church, the organizations, and the church staff to perform their tasks.  As such, he:
• Proclaims or preaches the gospel to believers and non-believers
• Leads the church to engage in a fellowship of worship, witness, missions, education ministry, and application
• Leads the church in performing its ministries and supervises the ministries of the church staff and employees
• Cares for the church’s membership and other persons in the community
• Serves as an ex-officio member of all committees and will vote only in case of a tie
