Vineyard Church North Phoenix is a growing community in Glendale, AZ committed to fostering spiritual growth, nurturing strong relationships, and empowering the next generation to live out their faith. We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Youth Pastor to lead and shepherd our large student ministry.

Responsibilities

Spiritual Leadership:

• Foster a Christ-centered environment that encourages spiritual growth and discipleship among youth.
• Develop and deliver engaging and relevant biblical teachings that resonate with the unique challenges and questions faced by today’s youth.

Discipleship and Mentorship:

• Provide discipleship direction and ministry training for youth ministry.
• Establish and maintain relationships with volunteer leaders, giving them support and direction.
• Organize, prepare and encourage leaders to shepherd students in their care.

Programming and Events:

• Plan, coordinate, and execute dynamic and inclusive youth events.
• Develop a comprehensive calendar of activities that appeal to diverse interests and engage students in both spiritual and social contexts.

Community Engagement:

• Collaborate with parents, volunteers, and church leadership to build a supportive and cohesive youth ministry community.
• Regularly, provide engaging and clear communication for parents and volunteers about all that is happening in youth ministry.

Pastoral Care:

• Provide emotional and spiritual support to youth and volunteers facing personal challenges, crises, or difficult life transitions.

Team Leadership:

• Lead youth staff to ensure all administrative duties, creative endeavors and programming are excellent and moving toward the vision.
• Recruit, train, and mentor a team of dedicated youth leaders and volunteers.
• Foster a collaborative and empowering team culture that encourages creativity and innovation in youth ministry.

Qualifications:

• A strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a passion for youth ministry.
• Willing and able to become a member of VCNP.
  Relevant theological education or ministry training.
• Proven experience in leading and growing youth ministry programs.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written- Bonus for video!
• Ability to relate and connect with young people in a meaningful way.
• Ability to lead volunteers of all ages and experience levels.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  Team player with the ability to collaborate with diverse groups of people.
