We are an SBCV church in King George County (just east of Fredericksburg).  We are currently looking for a part-time Music Director.  More specific details will be provided upon follow-up, but below are the basics of what we are looking for:

1.  Lead congregational songs during weekly worship (hymns and contemporary songs of worship).

2.  Organize regular opportunities for special music (choir, praise team, soloists).

3.  As personnel becomes available, we would love to have live music as accompaniment during services.

4.  Organize and lead musical events for special occasions (Christmas, Easter, etc.)

We are not necessarily looking for a professional, “polished” singer/musician for this position.  While that ultimately would be desired, this also would be an excellent opportunity for a high school student or college student to gain valuable ministry experience in somewhat of a low-key atmosphere.  We would cherish the opportunity to come alongside someone to provide that experience in a solid, Bible-believing church.

A person leading in this position would essentially have the opportunity to start afresh with our music/worship ministry.  The pandemic changed nearly everything about our worship experience.  Thus, this would be an opportunity to pick up where we left off prior to the pandemic or build something new from an essentially clean slate.  This position provides an exciting opportunity to build on the past and develop new paths for the future.
