Overview of position:
This is a 42-44 hour full-time position in a growing, multicultural, multigenerational, Pentecostal
church. 25 hours will be directed towards Worship Ministry and the rest of the hours will be directed to
Young Adult’s Ministry. The Worship/Young Adults Pastor will oversee the worship and young adult ministries and the areas that directly relate to these ministries. Areas directly related include but are not limited to, sound, lighting, filming, tech and young adult’s small groups.

General Worship Responsibilities:
• The Worship Pastor will lead worship often, but will also raise others to lead.
• Recruiting, equipping, and retaining a team of volunteers for worship, sound, lighting, filming and tech ministries that leads to sustainability in these ministry areas.
• Is responsible for creating a unified worship experience that allows the body to enter into worship and praise, and allows the Holy Spirit to move freely.
• The Worship Pastor will oversee the maintenance and progression of sound, lighting, filming and tech.
• Will schedule worship teams for regular services, worship practices, and other special services.
• Will be responsible for some pastoring of leaders and volunteers in the worship ministries. This may include; prayer, counselling, correction, training sessions, encouragement or in certain situations asking worship members to take a break or completely step away from this ministry.
• Must have a passion for worship and regularly engage in personal times of worship.
• Ready and willing to lead worship for services and promote a culture of worship and freedom.
• Will model a Christian discipleship lifestyle, which includes but is not limited to:
abstaining from; alcohol, smoking, and the use of non-prescription drugs.
• Will be in a position that supports the Senior Pastor with other ministry duties as required.

General Young Adult Responsibilities:
• Managing/maintaining weekly young adult small groups and monthly services.
• Managing the GC young adults’ social media platforms.
• Oversee, develop, and grow the ministry to young adults by connecting and interacting with them through regular gatherings and small groups.
• Connecting our young adults to Gospel Centre church as a whole.
• Providing pastoral care and spiritual direction to young adults both in large group and individual settings.

Qualifications:
• The individual will be born again and spirit-filled
• Will adhere to the PAOC’s statement of fundamental and essential truths
• Must be self-motivated, relational, and should enjoy leading others
• Demonstrate humility and be willing to go the extra mile to serve
• Must have a clean criminal record check
• All experience and education that is applicable to this position will be looked at

Gospel Centre Church has a strong volunteer base involved in worship and currently has a part-time sound/lighting technician and a part-time livestream technician. We run two-weekend  services, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. We are looking for a passionate individual to join our team. The probable hire date is April 2024.
