Job Overview

The Music Leader’s primary responsibility is to help craft and lead the music portion of the weekly worship service. The Music Leader has a high calling and responsibility of shepherding the church in worshipping God through music and singing. By leading in this way, the congregation of God’s people will grow in their own relationship with the Lord and the church will be built up.

Qualifications:

• A clear testimony of a born-again life that has trusted in Jesus and is actively following Him, demonstrated in the leader’s life in grace, humility, and love under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
• A strong desire and aptitude to lead and build the church in worship through singing.
• Experience planning, preparing, and leading worship services (specific amount of experience may vary).
• Skilled as an instrumentalist and vocalist, and comfortable in front of a large group of people.
• Basic knowledge of sound, video, lighting, and church music software (e.g., ProPresenter and Planning Center).
• Ability to lead and collaborate with a volunteer team of musicians and singers through gracious, honest, and encouraging planning, rehearsing, and communication.
• Lives local to Cumming or Forsyth County and is able to engage in church life beyond Sunday morning.
• Able to affirm Living Stones’ Statement of Faith.
