Job Description
FCCPG is actively seeking a dedicated, passionate, and experienced Minister to join our team and lead our congregation in spiritual growth and service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep commitment to the ministry.
Position Summary: The Minister is to provide spiritual leadership and ministerial care to the congregation and the community by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and fostering a culture of faith, love, and service.
Specific Duties:
• Maintain a regular program of study to enable himself to plan and conduct meaningful worship services.
• Develop and deliver meaningful and spiritually enriching, biblically-based weekly sermons during worship services, as well as on special occasions and events.
• Lead the church in proclaiming the gospel to the church and community.
• Visit members and prospects and lead the membership in a visitation program.
• Conduct premarital, vocational, family, bereavement, counseling sessions, etc., as needed. Advise other professional help when necessary.
• Perform other ministerial duties, including, but not limited to, weddings, funerals, baptisms, etc.
• Work with church leadership and staff to establish and execute a vision and strategic plan for the church’s growth and leadership development.
• Supervise other members of the church staff according to staff organization as directed by church leadership.
• Work with church leadership and committees in performing assigned responsibilities. Oversee the administration and management of the church operations as directed by the church leadership.
• Serve as a representative of the church in civic matters.
• Serve as the leader in seeking to win the unsaved; lead the membership in soul winning training.
• Plan and promote periods of evangelistic emphasis for the unsaved and renewal for the Christian.
• Other duties as directed by the church leadership.
Qualifications:
• Be a born-again, baptized believer who loves the Lord, fulfilling the scriptural qualifications of a leader found in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
• Possess a Bachelor of Arts, or equivalent, with a focus or accreditation in ministry and possessing a proficiency in biblical theology.
• Have a heart for people of all ages and the ability to convey biblical truth to all.
• Possess the ability to manage multiple priorities, organize events and work effectively with staff and church leadership.
• Demonstrate a positive social witness by refraining from membership in secret societies and other lodges or groups which are oath bound.
