    POSITION SUMMARY 

    The ideal candidate for the Campus Pastor position will provide leadership and spiritual direction for the Pompano Beach/Lighthouse Point campus of Community Christian Church (Community). This individual will be a leader with exceptional skills and is passionate about facilitating dynamic and engaging Sunday services by equipping talented staff and volunteer leaders. The Campus Pastor will harness the unique qualities of the Pompano Beach/Lighthouse Point campus to connect with emerging generations and people of diverse backgrounds.

    Our Pompano Beach/Lighthouse Point Campus Pastor will have infectious enthusiasm to advance the kingdom of Jesus Christ through excellent weekend gatherings, meaningful serving opportunities, and life-giving small groups. They will be highly motivated and driven to connect people to the body of Christ no matter where they are on their spiritual journey.

    The Campus Pastor will:

    • Champion the vision, mission, values, and DNA of Community at the campus level.
    • Develop, lead, and manage the campus leadership team, including staff and key volunteer leaders.
    • Participate in weekly all-staff meetings.
    • Provide overall leadership for Sunday services at the Pompano Beach/Lighthouse Point campus, including the worship experience, programming for children and students, and the general operations of the campus.
    • Provide oversight and direction for mid-week programs, including campus-based LifeGroups, other adult classes, and programs for children and students.
    • Oversee the efforts to connect campus attendees to the church’s deeper life, including Starting Point, Discovering Community, LifeGroups, and serving opportunities.
    • Oversee the development of volunteer teams.
    • Submit for approval and manage the campus budget; create annual goals for the campus.
    • Oversee pastoral care for the campus.
    • Collaborate regularly with the Tamarac campus staff teams on general Community programming, events, and overall system processes.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • A Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or equivalent) from a four-year college or university with a minimum of 5-7 years of ministry experience is preferred.
    • The ideal candidate will have a Restoration Movement background & theology and will be asked to sign our Statement of Faith.
