Role

New Hope is seeking a creative, self-starting, enthusiastic Pastor/Leader to care for the demographic of Junior High through Young Adults in a contemporary and growing church community. This part-time career opportunity is designed for candidates with previous ministry experience who can swiftly transition to full-time employment as the ministry grows.

The candidate must possess a clear understanding of the mission and core values of New Hope and be prepared to lead others in their fulfillment of them. A passionate sense of vision for seeing kids and youth connect with God and each other is vital for this ministry.

The specifics of the job description entail creating a culturally relevant environment that would engage students and young adults. The qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate that he/she has what it takes to grow the community and connect in a very meaningful way with students, parents and volunteer leadership teams.

Required Skills

The ability to understand the current youth culture is essential and a proven track record of success in working with students is imperative. Spiritual formation in the lives of students is a significant component of this job opportunity. The ability to communicate spiritual concepts in culturally relevant ways is also a key element of the position.

Qualifications

• This person must exemplify the leadership and character qualities in 1 Timothy 3.
• Strong and proven background in ministry, leadership, and mentoring; previous experience as a Youth Pastor preferred.
• Pastoral training through a recognized Bible college or seminary preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership ability with youth.

Salary

• Salary will be based on previous experience and educational accomplishments.
