Ministry Opportunity:

Hillcrest Baptist Church (HBC) in Hopkinsville, KY is prayerfully searching for a full-time Worship Pastor who will join us on mission to make disciples, mature believers, and multiply ministries for the glory of God.  Working in partnership with all church leadership, he will lead our congregation in God honoring worship, serve as a spiritual leader, help disciple the church body and fulfill the Great Commission, and oversee all aspects of the worship ministry including but not limited to the praise and worship team, worship band, production team, and choir.  HBC is a multigenerational congregation with engaging ministries for all ages.  Our worship style blends a variety of music and worship styles ranging from traditional to contemporary to reflect our membership.

Primary Ministry Responsibilities:

Primary ministry responsibilities include but are not limited to directing the congregation at worship services and church gatherings; develop and organize all choir programs, instrumental groups, and other special groups; work through established channels to obtain needed resources;  and work with church leaders in the overall ministry of the church.

Qualifications:

• A man with a deep and personal relationship to Jesus Christ, a passion to share his faith with others, and a desire to shepherd those in the music ministry.
• Prefer a graduate of a Southern Baptist Seminary or someone committed to/currently working toward this goal.
• Prefer at least five years experience as a minister of music or similar program.
• Someone with high moral standards, able to meet the demands of the position.
• Able to plan and implement music programs.
• Knowledge of planning and evaluating a comprehensive music program including knowledge of music and audio/video equipment.
