North Park Pres. is a diverse congregation that has a many young families. Including children, we have around 210 members on the rolls, and most of our kids are under 10 years old. We praise God for a vibrant
community of faith that is committed to being formed by the gospel, for the glory of God, and the good of the world.

We are looking to hire a full-time pastor of congregational care. Primary responsibilities include:
 Overseeing the various systems and structures of NPP: Helping them to run efficiently while proactively engaging with lay leaders (community group leaders, bible study leaders, Sunday School leaders, outreach committees, nursery leader, etc.). Ideally, the Assistant Pastor would be someone with experience helping to create and maintain healthy structures within the church that contribute to the edification of the body. We’d also like for this individual to help us grow and multiply the already
existing community groups.

 Helping to fold new members into the community life of the church: As NPP grows, we want to make sure we’re doing a good job getting new members plugged into the church’s community life. The Assistant Pastor will work with Pastor Adriel and the Session to think through how to best accomplish this.
 Pastoral care: The Assistant Pastor should have a shepherd’s heart, proactively pursuing members of the church together with the session. We’d like to hire someone that has experience with pastoral counseling, and a natural ability to connect with members forming discipleship relationships.
 Encourages Fellowship: The Assistant Pastor will work together with the session to help organize seasonal times of fellowship for NPP that encourage Christian education, growing together as a church, and outreach.
 Lord’s Day Service: The Assistant Pastor would serve during the Sunday liturgy, helping in leading the service and administering the Sacraments. He’d be expected to preach during the Sunday service
10-15 times a year, and should be able to preach clearly, redemptive historically, with the ability to distinguish between law and gospel, and in a manner that is accessible for those not familiar with Christian theological language i.e. non-Christians or new believers.

Additional information: At NPP we believe that you cannot have a high enough view of the Lord’s Day, or the Christian life. We stress the importance of the means of grace for discipleship and Christian growth, while also encouraging the daily pursuit of holiness in the context of community that is reflected throughout the New Testament. Our worship style would be considered more “high liturgy,” and we sing primarily out
of the Trinity Psalter Hymnal with some more contemporary hymns woven in as well.

Job Requirements & Desired Qualities:
 At least 3 years of pastoral ministry experience.
 MDiv or M.A.
 Experience in the PCA, and positive attitude about the denomination.
 Has demonstrated the ability to start and grow discipleship ministries within the church.
 Works well with a team and can support senior pastor.
