The Church of St. James the Less, Scarsdale, is looking for a half-time priest to serve alongside the rector to fulfill various liturgical, pastoral, and program-related duties.

St. James is particularly strong in the areas of family ministry and outreach, and help with these would comprise part of the position; however, there is also a great deal of flexibility for a priest to bring their own interests to the role. It’s an excellent position for someone starting out in the priesthood, or for someone with more experience. We’re more interested in the right candidate than a specific set of predetermined responsibilities.

One component of the compensation could be the provision of a four-bedroom apartment on campus. The role could potentially expand to full-time within three to four years.
