Responsibilities for this full-time position include:
• Creating and directing a program consistent with values of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for the youth of KWCC and its community through events, lessons, speakers, small groups, role modeling, service and worship appreciation. • Develop, coordinate and implement a strategy for KWCC community engagement including service ministries, social justice initiatives and community partnerships. • Youth Ministry will serve as a primary component of this position, but the secondary focus is flexible based on the skills of the candidate.
A. Seminary graduate or finishing the final semester of seminary.
B. Commitment to the Christian faith and the church.
C. Experience and gifts in building authentic relationships with youth and adults.
D. Background in and willingness to recruit, train and support volunteers.
E. Commitment to and awareness of the spiritual growth processes afforded through Christian learning.
F. Dependability in fulfilling responsibilities within your ministry supervision.
G. Appreciation and affirmation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
H. Function as a positive role model through regular attendance in Sunday School and worship, personal conduct and appearances
I. Flexibility to accompany adults and youth in outings, activities and camps (as needed).
Compensation and Benefits:
Annual salary range $52,000-$60,000 per/yr plus $1500 annually for professional expenses.
