Responsibilities & Duties:
• To support the vision, mission and goals of EGCC by monitoring and supporting the progression of attendees through our established metrics
• Oversee and create family ministry programs in their entirety for infants, children, youth and family groups.
• Develop and execute a transition strategy for movement through the continuum of family ministry programs to facilitate future church and community leaders.
• Engage the community, participate in, and organize community focused events.
• Create and deliver reports to the Lead Pastor and Board of Directors, providing information necessary to understand the health of the family ministry and its participants.
• Develop and monitor an annual program plan, aligning with EGCC vision, mission and goals.
• Attend special events/field trips/retreats for family ministries.
• Recruit, coordinate, and empower volunteers, guiding them to deliver programs with a focus on community and excellence. (i.e., Trunk or Treat, Community Egg Hunt, Retreats or Rallies)
• Train & develop volunteers to ensure they have the necessary skills to meet ministry criteria: spiritual leadership; age-appropriate relatable skills; plan to protect guidelines.
• Organize and communicate program curriculum, performance expectations, and volunteer schedules.
• Evaluate ministry facilities used for programming: ensure safe for use, age appropriate, inviting, and conducive to successfully engage program participants and build relationships.
• Ensure adequate supplies for family ministry programs and ensure they are responsibly monitored.
• Optimize social media and related ministry communication tools and equipment to ensure a positive ministry experience for multiple generation levels.
• Provide content and information for ministry media programming, website and social media platforms as required.
• Provide information and assist in the development of annual budgets relating to family programs to ensure current and future needs.
• Accountable to monitor and ensure compliance of approved budget guidelines for family ministry programs.
• Ensure EGCC policies are adhered to and guidelines are implemented throughout
all family ministry programs and events. (i.e., Plan to Protect, Health and Safety, etc.)
• Communicate any issues or concerns directly with the Lead Pastor.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education & Credentials:
• Valid PAOC credentials or provided substantiation indicating actively pursuing.
• Bible College Degree or Diploma in Theological or Pastoral Studies or similar years of experience.
• Preferred 3 years’ experience in children, student and/or family related ministries.
• Valid G driver’s license.
• Legally able to work in Canada.
• Annual Salary Range to be determined
