    Job Description

    This pastor leads Trinity’s ministry to children and families of our church and community by ensuring quality TrinKids programming and leading in outreach and discipleship of their families.


    Weekly programming that requires Recruiting, training, resourcing and retaining teachers/leadersCoordinating teacher/leader schedulesRunning all programs with volunteer support, such as: TrinKids Sunday School approximately 42-43x per year TrinKids PM/Team Nights approximately 8x per semester Planning and coordinating 2-3 events per year that welcome new children and families Nursery ministry oversight Additional bible studies, mission trips, and events developed as opportunities arise Effective communication system for parents, volunteers, congregation, and community Budget oversight for TrinKids and Nursery


    Relational ministry to and through parents/young families  Wide-reaching hospitality that helps cultivate the love of Christ across the church One-to-one, small group, and large group ministry for community building and spiritual formation of families Specific teaching, training, and counseling for the parents of the church and community (parenting or marriage seminars/courses)Oversee Vacation Bible School as an annual program for broad-reaching discipleship and evangelism.


    Attend monthly session meetings, weekly staff meetings, and other ministry meetings as necessary. Preach (approx. 4-6 times per year) and administer sacraments as needed  General pastoral duties (weddings, funerals, counseling, presbytery etc.)


    Part-time TrinKids Assistant Director (see job description attached)

    Part-time TrinKids Nursery Assistant

    Supportive staff team and lay leadership


    A love for Jesus, his church, and especially children Motivated self-starter and problem solver Relational, energetic, and outgoing personality Good recruiter and trainer of volunteers Effective teacher


    Demonstrated competence in leading ministry systems Computer competence required Some knowledge of graphic design and presentation programs would be beneficial, but not necessary Master of Divinity and ordained/ordainable in the PCA Degrees in education/child development a plus, but not necessary
