    Job Summary

    The Associate Pastor is called by God to pastoral ministry as biblically defined and qualified. His primary function is to assist and partner with the Senior Pastor in the oversight of Church Life through the heart of an under-shepherd. His primary focus would be improving discipleship, community, and outreach within younger generations, through faithful teaching, organizing, training, and equipping of church leaders.

    Qualifications

    • Exhibit evidence of Christian character and servant leadership satisfying the Biblical qualifications for Pastor as stated in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-4
    • Possesses personality, temperament, and interpersonal skills to relate with and serve effectively beside office staff and lay leadership
    • Gives evidence of a spiritually balanced life (prayer, Bible study, family, rest, financial stewardship)
    • Passionate about the discipleship of younger generations (0-21)
    • Ardent about the Inerrancy, Authority, and Sufficiency of Scripture
    • Rejects all forms of progressive secular ideology and is most interested in honoring God’s Word regardless of popularity or public opinion (Doctrinal Alignment with BFM 2000)
    • Possesses leadership skills to recruit, train, and support our members to serve our
      congregation and community
    • Biblical training or equivalent experience; Southern Baptist Bible College or Seminary Degree
      preferred. Concurrent Online enrollment would be considered

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as Ministry Team Leader for Children, Youth, and College Ministry Teams to assist Lay Leadership in event planning and ministry strategy
    • Assist youth and children’s ministries in recruiting and training workers for service during Wednesday Night Teamkid and Youth activities
    • Assist SS Director in Revitalization of Sunday morning Children, Youth, and College Small Groups
    • Serve as a Leader and Host Home within Community Group Ministry
    • Regular teaching through Sunday morning, evening, and Wednesday Night groups
    • Oversee visitor connection ministry in coordination with Pastor and Community Group Leaders
    • Take Part in weekly Staff meetings and Long Range Planning Meetings as scheduled
    • Oversee the management of website, social media outlets, and overall online presence for the purposes of online discipleship, outreach, and advertisement
    • Assist pastor with pulpit supply, counseling, member visitation, funeral services, and other pastoral duties when needed and possible
    • Adapt to and fulfill everchanging ministry needs as coordinated with Senior Pastor
