Job Description

We are seeking a Worship Director who shares our love for Jesus and sharing His good news on a level that people can understand.

Worship Director/Leader Opportunity

The Worship Director/Leader assists the Senior Pastor and staff in cultivating a life-giving, passionate and skillful culture of worship at Calvary Baptist Church through the spiritual and musical leadership of part-time (“Staff”), Calvary Volunteers, and other people or groups as assigned by the Senior Pastor.


• Proficient in guitar and/or piano
• Proficient vocalist
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a local church
• Ability to lead coordinate, and cultivate a life-giving music ministry
• Ability to organize and lead musical groups including choirs and ensembles
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
• Ability to learn and use technology for communication, organization, and musical enhancement

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

• Assist in the planning and implementation of the music for Calvary’s worship services and events
• Assist in the recruiting, training, and coordination Calvary Baptist’s Music Ministry Team
• Assist the Senior Pastor with church-wide- goal setting, vision casting, planning, and implementation
• Recruit, train, and retain music ministry volunteers
• Assist in leading new member classes
• Willing to participate in all services/activities conducted by Calvary as able:
• Weddings, Funerals, and others as needed


• Biblically qualified according to 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9
• Share the vision of Calvary Baptist Church to fulfill the Great Commission with integrity and passion
• Celebrates things of Christ
• Positive attitude
• Heart of a servant
• High capability for multi-tasking and self-motivation
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
• Willingness to dress in a way that is consistent with Calvary’s values Supervisory Responsibilities VII.
