    DESCRIPTION:
    Spanish River Church is seeking a passionate, dynamic, and spiritually mature Family Ministry Pastor to lead and oversee our comprehensive family ministry program. This includes the Children’s Ministry, Student Ministry and Young Adults. The Family Pastor will be responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive program for Christian discipleship of families, including partnering with and equipping parents, developing and overseeing ministry and outreach for children ages birth through senior high school. This pastoral position will develop and implement teaching, recruiting, training and deployment of volunteer leaders, and provide support
    systems that will enable the families of SRC to fulfill its vision of loving God and loving others.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Leadership and Vision: Cast and implement a clear, biblical vision for family ministry that aligns with the overall mission and values of Spanish River Church. Lead and mentor ministry staff and volunteers in children’s, student and young adult ministries.
    • Parenting Classes: Develop and lead educational and supportive classes for parents to equip them with biblical principles and practical skills for raising children in faith.
    • Curriculum Development: Ensure a cohesive scope and sequence of teaching that is engaging, biblically sound and relevant for all ages, fostering spiritual growth and maturity.
    • Family Engagement: Create and promote initiatives that encourage families to grow in faith together, making the church a vital partner in their spiritual journey. Develop outreach programs to connect with families in Boca Raton, extending the church’s influence and support within the community.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with ministry teams and church leadership to ensure a unified approach to family ministry. Partner with local organizations and schools to enhance outreach efforts and serve the broader community.
    • Parental Partnership: Actively engage parents in the discipleship process, providing them with resources, support and opportunities to be the primary spiritual influencers in their children’s lives.
    • Multicultural Integration: Facilitate programs and activities that embrace and celebrate the diverse cultural backgrounds of our church families, including initiatives that bridge linguistic and cultural gaps, particularly within the Spanish-speaking community.
    • Recruit, train, shepherd and engage volunteers in every aspect of student ministry.
    • Direct the biblical and theological study within student ministry.
    • Develop a healthy campus identity while prioritizing an atmosphere of cooperation and connection.
    • Assist in the planning, promotion and execution of Student Ministry events, retreats and trips.
    • Provide pastoral counseling and support to students and their families.
    • Create an environment of leadership reproduction among interns and volunteers.
    • Be an active, prepared participant in required meetings.
    • Maintain a reputation that is above reproach in conduct with students and their parents.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    • A deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion for serving families.
    • An MDiv or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in family, children’s, or youth ministry in a leadership capacity.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of individuals and groups.
    • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic ministry initiatives.
    • Strong teaching ability and biblical knowledge, with the skills to educate and inspire individuals of all ages.
    • Experience in curriculum development and educational programming.
    • Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Spanish River Church.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with church staff and volunteers, fostering a team-oriented environment.
